Adoption of Secondary Science and World Language Textbooks
Parents and Community Members invited to view curriculum
materials proposed for adoption and public viewing
The Soledad Unified School District is scheduled to adopt new Science Textbooks for grades 9-12th and World Language Textbooks for grades 7-12th. A committee of teachers has been undergoing a pilot and review process as it considers two publishers. The committee completed its review work on May 23rd and made its recommendation to the District’s Curriculum Council meeting on May 27th, 3:30 pm at the Soledad Unified School District Office, 1261 Metz Road in Soledad.
The Science materials are currently on public display on the websites at Soledad High School and in the District Office C & I Building during the weekdays between May 27th and June 12th. Adoption of the Science and World Language Textbooks will be placed on the agenda for the June 12, 2024 Board of Trustees meeting. Members of the public may address the Board on Science materials at that meeting.
A Science and World Language materials question and answer session will be scheduled for Monday, June 3rd, 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm at the District Office C & I Building. Members of the Science & World Language Adoption Committee will be present to discuss the materials and answer any questions. Parents and members of the community are invited to view the materials.
