Awareness of Parent Concerns

Good Afternoon Families and Guardians,

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.  We recently became aware of some concerns raised in a social media post regarding Gabilan Elementary School, and we want to assure you that your feedback is important to us. In an effort to collaborate effectively it is important to communicate directly with teachers, staff, or myself in order to provide your child with a safe academic, social, and emotional learning environment. I encourage all Gabilan parents and guardians to contact me at 678-6440 or at molmos@soledad.k12.ca.us to discuss any issues or concerns you may have. 

We understand the importance of ensuring that all students have a safe,  welcoming, and comfortable space to enjoy their meals. Therefore, students have the opportunity to eat breakfast from 7:30 am-8:00 am before school begins. In addition, students are provided a second opportunity to eat brunch during their grade level designated morning recess time.  Finally, students are alloted a 40 minute lunch period.  Below you will find the Bell Schedule which includes the recess times and the lunch times by grade level.

Your involvement plays a crucial role in our students’ educational experience. Parents and guardians may share their insights and support our efforts to collaborate effectively by participating in the following:

• Attend monthly Coffee with the Principal

• Attend School Site Council meetings

• Attend Back to School Night/ Literacy Night/ Math Night

• Join Golden Eagles PTO

• Attend ELAC meetings

• Attend Teacher Conferences

• Volunteer at our school/ classrooms
