Principal Message


Dear Parents or Guardians,


The Faculty and Staff are excited to start school on August 13, 2025!


We are very excited to welcome ALL of our students back to school.  We are committed to the well-being of our students, staff, and community.  Parents will be allowed to walk students to class on the first day of school only.   After the first day of school, we must limit visitors and parents. Parents will not be allowed on campus except to the office when business or concerns cannot be conducted over the phone or by email. 


Students may arrive on campus as early as 7:30 a.m.  Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:30 a.m. to 7:55 a.m.  The bell will ring for students to get ready for class to begin at 7:55 a.m.   Students that arrive after 8:05 a.m. will need to get a late slip from the office.


Our bell schedule is below and it is attached to this message. Class lists have been posted in the front of the cafeteria.  Any student without data confirmation completed will not appear on a class list. Please make sure to complete the virtual registration.

DROP OFF - PICK UP

Thank you parents for all your patience and support as we continue to implement the Pick-up and Drop-off procedures.   Remember our number one priority is your child’s safety at all times.  Your continued patience and support with following these procedures are greatly appreciated!  

As a reminder:

  • The front turn around is for DRIVE-THRU Drop OFF  ONLY! . It is intended as a safe and brief exit from the vehicle.   In an effort to ensure student safety, we request your daily cooperation. If you have additional school related business, kindly park your car at the Community Center parking lot.

  • When DROPPING OFF your child, drive up all the way to the front of the school entrance to assist with the safe and smooth flow of traffic.

  • To ease heavy traffic during dismissal,we strongly encourage you to park at the Community Center’s parking lot to ensure student safety.  

  • Please DO NOT pick up or drop off  your child in the middle of the street as this is unsafe. Students are encouraged to use the designated crossing areas located by the Community Center to adhere to pedestrian safety and traffic laws.

  • Please honor the city's designated RED ZONES by NOT idling or parking in these areas. The safety of ALL students and staff are affected when these rules are violated by not being followed. 

  • School limit is 25 mph., when driving within 500 to 1,000 feet of a school while children are outside or crossing the street. We have observed several people driving  faster than 25 mph. We urge you to respect the school limit.





ATTENDANCE/ASISTENCIA

  • Friendly Reminder that the Tardy bell rings at 8:05. Please have your child here early so they will not be tardy. 

  • If your child is absent please make sure to contact the office to clear the absence. Call 678-6443 or email lrendon-silva@soledad.k12.ca.us

  • If your child is absent for a doctor’s appointment, please make sure you request a doctor’s note. You can drop the note off at the front office, email, or drop it off at the drop off box located by the multi.
